The goal is to secure formal recognition for left-wing caucuses inside the Democratic Party, including the Green Caucus.
Our collective objective is straightforward: every left tendency, including ours, should have a formally recognized caucus within state Democratic Party institutions across all 50 states. For example, Ken Martin has not been supportive of a Socialist Caucus and previously shut down the Democratic Socialist Caucus of Minnesota: https://democraticsocialistsmn.org.
We differ from the current Climate Caucus in the Democratic Party because Green politics is not limited to climate issues. It encompasses a broad set of policies that go far beyond environmental concerns. We are therefore demanding that our Green Caucus be officially recognized across the full DNC structure. These caucuses collectively represent the full spectrum of the democratic left.
We will be hosting a conversation with Green elected officials from around the world.
